The 1866 Deaf Museum is a local museum about Copenhagen´s Deaf Club.

About the Museum's purpose (translated with Google Translate):

  • to collect and register materials that illuminate the deaf's association life and work in Copenhagen
  • to make exhibitions 
  • to preserve the cultural heritage of the Deaf for posterity.

The museum is run by volunteers. Their tasks consist of tours of the museum and the house. They are also responsible for the archiving of materials.
