NO: Norsk Døvehistorisk Selskap
The Norwegian Deaf Historical Society (NDHS) was established on February 2, 1990 by the Norwegian Deaf Association and the Federation's units.
The purpose was first and foremost to work to make Norwegian deaf history known among the deaf and those who work among the deaf, but also generally in society. Articles of association were prepared for the company and elected board of directors.
Since then, an annual meeting, combined with a deaf historical seminar, has been held every other year. The company has collaborated on the creation of a deaf museum in Trondheim, held courses, collected material and, among other things. stimulated to lecture on deaf historical themes around deaf societies, etc.
www.ndhs.no was established in 2007 and is a site that contains some material, information and links that have deaf historical interest and value.
